The Official Widows Sons Lebanon Chapter
WSL Eshmun Knights - 𐤀𐤔𐤌𐤍
Widows Sons Lebanon – WSL Eshmun Knights is the official Widows Sons Chapter in Lebanon, established in January 2021 and chartered under the Widows Sons Scotland, founded in 1998.
We are a Masonic motorcycle brotherhood and a non-brand riders’ association, bringing together brethren who share a passion for Freemasonry, motorcycling, responsible riding, fellowship, and charitable service.
Our members are Master Masons operating under the Scottish Jurisdiction or Lodges in amity, united by the values of the Craft and the discipline of the road.
WSL Eshmun Riders carries the spirit of brotherhood beyond the Lodge room and onto the open road, riding with purpose and serving with humility. Rooted in Masonic values, we exist to promote unity among brother Freemasons who ride motorcycles, to introduce Freemasonry to the world of motorcycling, to introduce the world of motorcycling to Freemasonry, and to support the widows of Freemasons.
Our name, The Widows Sons, comes from meaningful aspects of our Fraternity. We are not a one-percent club, an MC, or an MCC.
We are a social riding association of Freemasons, built on fellowship, charity, discipline, respect, and the open road.
Every member of WSL Eshmun is expected to act in a way that reflects, preserves, and promotes the values and tenets of Freemasonry.
Ride with Purpose, Stand with Honor, Serve with Humility.
BROTHERHOOD ON THE ROAD
Widows Sons Lebanon – WSL Eshmun Knights is more than a riders’ association. It is a Masonic brotherhood where the values of the Craft meet the freedom, discipline, and responsibility of the road.
We ride as brethren, not as individuals seeking attention. We gather to strengthen fellowship, support charitable causes, assist widows and orphans, and represent Freemasonry with dignity in public life.
Every ride has meaning. Every patch carries responsibility. Every brother has a duty to the others.
We ride proudly, but never arrogantly.
We gather publicly, but always with discipline.
We wear our identity with responsibility, not ego.
For those who understand that the road can teach discipline, that fellowship requires commitment, and that charity gives purpose to action, WSL Eshmun offers a place of belonging and a seat to ride with us.
Master Masons in Good-Standing are able to join as full members.
EA and FC can be admitted as non-voting members.

PATCH AND CONDUCT
The patch and insignia of Widows Sons Lebanon – WSL Eshmun Knights are symbols of membership, responsibility, and trust.
They are not fashion items, casual accessories, or objects of personal display. They represent the Brotherhood, its values, its discipline, and its connection to the wider Widows Sons tradition.
Official patches, logos, trademarks, and insignia remain the property of Widows Sons Lebanon and are reserved for members in good standing who have been accepted and obligated according to the rules of the Chapter.
A member wearing the patch must conduct himself with dignity at all times, whether on the road, in public, during meetings, or at events.
The patch is not merely worn. It is represented.
Chapter and Regions
Widows Sons Lebanon – WSL Eshmun Knigths serves as the parent Chapter for Lebanon and has the right to charter affiliate chapters within Lebanon.
Affiliate chapters must comply with the rules, values, requirements, and standards of Widows Sons Lebanon.
This structure ensures unity, consistency, accountability, and proper representation of the Brotherhood throughout Lebanon.
Wherever chapters or regions may develop, they remain bound by one spirit: brotherhood, discipline, charity, and fidelity to Masonic values.
ESHMUN the eighth son of the god
Ancient coin depicting Eshmun, the Phoenician god of healing, standing between two serpents, symbols of wisdom, renewal, and divine protection. The image reflects the sacred healing tradition associated with Eshmun and the enduring spiritual symbolism of the serpent in the ancient Mediterranean world.
Eshmun 𐤀𐤔𐤌𐤍 was the ancient Phoenician god of healing. At the end of the 7th century BCE, worshippers built the Temple of Eshmun next to a sacred spring that could be used in ceremonies. It lies 2 Km North of Sidon, a major Phoenician town south of Beirut.
Historically, Eshmun was linked to healing, and UNESCO’s description of the Temple of Echmun identifies the site near Saida as a cult complex dedicated to the healing god Echmoun, later associated with the Greek Asclepius.
For Widows Sons Lebanon – WSL Eshmun Knights, this symbolism carries a special meaning. It reminds us that the Brotherhood is not built merely around the road but around service, renewal, relief, and the duty to support those in need.
The Road becomes our path,
the Rod our discipline,
and the Serpent our symbol of renewal.
